You can bring up the benefits on the phone with Internet Connection.. show it to the agent. But the agent was ignorant to that fact, and charged our fellow FlyerTalker a checked bag fee.
I want to give TD a chance and thought these very restrictive rewards would give it quite an edge over CIBC. Ah well, at least I know that 2 for 1 shorthaul reward works. We need to take a stand a check in, call the supervisor and shake the tree, to get the message across that its a free checked bag when flying on an AE award ticket on AE metal.
Anybody get a free checked bag flying UA on an AE award ticket yet? Its not part of the award parameter, but just thought I ask to see if someone has been outright refused yet.
