With the US Amex SPG card you get 2 stay credits or 5 night credits so if you get both the regular and the business cards, you can get 4 stay credits or 10 night credits toward Platinum level. Does this same benefit apply for the Canadian version of the Amex SPG cards? I read the fine print but there is no mention of this benefit anywhere.

We unfortunately do not get the same benefits as the US do. There is however gold status that is acquired after 30k spend and a free weekend night certficate at 40k spend.
