I'd appreciate someone explaining the following as I have gotten conflicting answers from customer service and still confused.

Background:
- Avis rentals about once a month typically for 8-10 days at a time, paid for by company (stupidly, did not sign up for my own account at that time)
- Last year I signed up for the Chase Ink Plus and noted one of the benefits was free Avis first membership. Per terms, sign up for Avis Preferred and that account would then be upgraded to Avis First. Obtained my own Wizard number as well as AWD that was linked to my Wizard number.

I requested my account to be upgraded to Avis first back in December and told no, that I'd need to do it the traditional way (accumulate 35 rental days). I found an old post on here from someone in the same boat saying it could be done so re-requested in February, told process would take about 14-21 business days (still waiting).

In the meantime, I've decided to associate my monthly rentals with my own wizard number in case the Chase Ink upgrade does not go through to try to achieve Avis first through the traditional method.

On my January reservation, I asked to get credited but was explained that if the company paid for it on their card, I would not get credit for the rental - (OK that makes sense).

On my February reservation, I asked the reservation to be associated with my Wizard number and I would put it on my credit card (then get reimbursed by my company).

This is where I get confused. I was provided with an AWD when I signed up via the Chase Ink link that begins with Y. The AWD my company uses for their corporate rate is different and starts with a B and provides a better rate.

Can I use my Wizard number along with the company AWD (for the better rate) and still get credit for the reservation on my account (paying for this with my credit card)?

What ended up happening during my February reservation is they went into my account and linked it with the company's AWD. When I followed up regarding my Avis First status (via Chase Ink), I was told that since my own personal AWD (beginning with Y) was not attached, they had to make the adjustment and then wait 14-21 business days.

My next reservation is in 2 days (before the 14 business days are reached) currently under my company's account. I'm confused what to do - just leave it on my company's account and hope that Avis First goes through via Chase Ink or change the reservation to place it under my Wizard number. If I do that, I'll have to change the attached AWD to my company's (to get the better rate) which then could negate my ability to get Avis First via Chase Ink method (previously told the upgrade not processed because my AWD was not attached to my Wizard number).

Hopefully what I'm writing makes sense. I'm just as confused writing it out.
