Agreed, unless you are going for a 3 week business trip I think 5 suits are too many. For a 1 week trip, I take 2. Alternate between the two. At first, I thought people would notice, but then I asked myself if I remembered what co-worker wore the day before. I was not able to as I didn't really care. If the suits get dirty, cleaning at the hotel in a pinch. For longer trips, I have multiple suit pants of the same color (custom made in HK or stop where jackets and pant sold separate), so I have the jacket and can just wear fresh clean pants later in the trip.
