I am concerned there is something else going on here - I've never been to an Asian country that was lax with inbound or outbound passport control. Either their system is not setup right (to detect a mismatch between inbound name/fingerprints/passport and outbound name/fingerprints/passport), or something more sinister is in play here - ie. an accomplice in passport control who allowed these individuals through.

If these are Chinese-Muslim separatists, what could be the point of blowing up a Malaysian aircraft (which is a Muslim country) when Chinese airlines fly the same route? There has been no claim made by anyone, no demands, nothing - just a lost plane with lots of questions and no answers.
