Yes! Had this from DXB a few weeks ago. I was on BA106 which leaves at 2.30am. I arrived fairly late at the airport and had barely eaten for the past 12 hours. All I wanted to do was get a quick bite at McDonalds and then go to sleep on the flight. I really couldn't face the 1 hour it takes to complete the CW service.

I was through immigration and security with about 50 minutes before dpearture which I thought was plenty to get some fastfood. Then they have the bloody announcement (not just on the monitor - but actually announce it) that it was Final Call on BA106.

Rush down to the gate and, as I feared, it was just a mass of people stood in a disorganized queue. Nonsense. Would have had plenty of time for my calorific fastfood fix.
