As to your incoherent argument more generally: All grants of contractual rights involve concessions. Anyone who thinks otherwise is completely deluding themselves. Your pilot gets paid less, or enjoys fewer benefits, as a result of her or his generous rest accommodation. That makes your tickets cheaper. If you don't like the bargain UA has struck, fly another airline.
