Yes, which is why it was comical - I NEVER fly Y on rewards and I have status with AC, so I didn't think I'd ever use this - but this was a short YUL-BOS hop for the wife, and she has no status, and there's no J on the flight. And we had cards in each of our names, just in case. Go go TD.
