has no annual fee and can be churned multiple times per year. Start by reading the Wikipost at the top of that thread. (If you don't see the Wikipost text, click the "+" at the right of it to expand it. Ie, they pay you more than you pay them.

Unless all of your hotel stays are under $85/night (before taxes), that is.

Because the Marriott card gives a free night cat 1-5 certificate every year you pay the $85 annual fee. And I've been able to use those for $150++ hotels at BUF airport when there was nothing else cheaper either, a $200++ hotel near OGG airport on Maui (which was btw a much more central location for east Maui sights than any of the other points hotels on the island) when there was nothing else cheaper either, etc. So I would think if you do hotel stays each year you could find a use for the free night cert (even with the cat 5 cap) that would much more than pay for the $85 annual fee.
