Check it. Again, I'm not aware of a garment bag that can handle 5 suits, keep them wrinkle-free, and be checked on. You have trips requiring 3 suits and trips requiring 5 suits. Get two bags. A 25" medium upright and a rolling garment bag.

Remember, when traveling internationally there is only a 5 minute difference between checking and carrying on. The time it takes to de-plane, walk through the terminal, get to passport control, wait on line, get cleared, I'd say about 90% of the time I arrive in Hong Kong or back in the States my bag makes it to the carousel before I do.

Checking is a convenient service performed by the airline at no extra charge. When I travel internationally I look forward to losing the bag upon arrival at the terminal, just carrying a light business backpack through the terminal is a treat I don't get to experience when traveling domestically.
