No worries. Does appear that the United website says one thing while the Club Carlson website says another thing.
My recommendation to
startpacking is to expect to have to earn the 2000 points with Club Carlson before being able to expect to convert them into 200 miles, which you'll have to request manually (since it will not happen automatically) on the Club Carlson website.
Of course, there are other ways to ensure your MileagePlus account stays current; in fact, there's a thread on that somewhere.
