Unless you're staying for work, I don't see why you stay in Shin-Yokohama when there are four better hotels in the Minato Mirai complex, plus the Sheraton just outside Yokohama station.
I just stayed a night at the Tokyu Yokohama Bay hotel, reachable by escalators and a 5 minute indoor walk from Minato Mirai station. I joined the Tokyu "club" which allegedly costs Y500 (although the hotel didn't bother to collect it, even though it was supposed to). All it gets you is that checkout is generously extended to noon instead of 11 am!
The hotel was OK.
