I recently had flown on AA metal from SJC-ORD-PHL, with one of the segment upgraded. Although I gave the Alaska Air MP number at the check-in desk the flights got credited to AA. On calling AAdvantage desk, they are not willing to credit those to Alaska Air saying that since I took benefit of upgrade and other AAdvantage perk, I cannot credit this to Alaska.Is this true? Wanted to know your thoughts on this?
