Me and my girlfriend (both beginning of 30) will visit New York in September for 5-6 days and looking for a SPG hotel to book on points or C+P.

Based on the good reviews here on flyertalk and the low category I'm thinking about going for the W Hoboken. How do you rate this hotel from a tourist perspective (we've never been to NY before)? My understanding is that there is a good connection with the Path to Manhatten...

My second choice would probably be the W Union Square, which is much more central but a higher category (20.000 points vs. 12.000 points per night).

Which of the both would you recommend?
