Thanks to Florin and Henry III and it's nice to be here.

Henry is very close to correct: we were dropping into HKG 25 mins ahead of schedule, there was a bit of fog, nothing unusual and flight deck said we were diverting to Guanzhou because we were short of fuel. Net effect, according to flightstats (thanks for the reference!) we were '191 minutes late'.
Flight stats shows only two flights with a big delay during the fog, the other from Mainland china so who knows the reason. Everything else is listed 20/30/40 minutes late, that's all, and one or two are on time.

Now, I get airlines trying to load a minimum of fuel but if they underestimate (and these delays aren't long, and the weather is nothing unusual, and the airport is open) then are they responsible for delays? Funny thing is we were ahead of schedule during the descent...

Cheers
