Does anyone have any experience with Air China releasing reward seats as it gets closer to the date for business class? Or are they known to just release all available a year before and when it's gone, it's gone?

I'm currently booked on CA for a HKG-PEK leg on their 772 in Econ for 2 on a J reward ticket. There's 1 J seat available and would like to move up if possible but we'd like to both move up or we'll just both stay in econ.

I'm going to wait and see anyways, but wanted to ask around to see if anybody else has any experience. If they won't release any more seats, it's not that big of a deal, just a 3h flight or so...
