while I dont condemn any one using the "flight attendant call button" to ask for services, I as a rule have never pushed it. Well I take that back. I havent used it since the early 90s when the stewardess was there primarily to cater you. I almost wish they would relabel them or rebrand them as the "help needed" button or "emergency button" but thats just me. If you want to use it to ask for drinks or food go right ahead, theres no rule not to and no verbage that you shouldnt
