If you are landing at 16.45 there's plenty of time to go into Tokyo that evening unless you particularly want to stay in Narita. At that time of the day the JR East Travel Service Center should still be open and I don't see why you can't buy a ticket for N'EX to travel the following morning. You can write the date and time of N'EX you want to travel on on a piece of paper to make certain they sell you a ticket for the right train.

Not sure what you mean by accessibility into the JR East counters. It's close to the ticket counter of the station and there's no problem accessing it if you decide to travel back to NRT to buy a ticket in the morning.

OK. Good. Thank you.

Think we have it covered. Service Center NOT ticket booth.
Best option, buy N'EX on arrival, reserve for the next day.

Staying in NRT to crash early and save a few coins on Tokyo hotel (Hyatt).

Sleep in a bit and hit the next day refreshed.

What do you think about Okinawa? We can take a connecting flight and spend the April 13 week.

It's warmer. How's the food?

Tokyo is great, but after this ORD winter, we want warm.

BKK/MNL have good CX HKG connections, but a much tougher flight in Y. No AAward J seats available for our dates (yet?).

Thanks.
