You will be flying in a newer Being 777-323ER. In that case, try for a Main Cabin Extra seat. Unlike Premium Economy / World Traveller Plus, this is not a separate class, but it does offer 34" and more seat pitch, and a reduction from 10 across to 9 across. You may have to pay a bit for it depending on status.

Best 77W / 777-300ER Economy Class and Main Cabin Extra / MCE seat (consolidated).

You can peruse 2014 AA International Meals - menu /menus, photos, etc. (consolidated) and see if members have listed Economy menus.
