To be seated together: no matter what options you use, call the local rep., use "manage my booking", online check in, or ask at normal check in; if there is a demanding Qatari who want your seat at check in - they will move you. But the chances for that to happen should not be that big. Never happend to me, but i have seen it happen during check in, even after boarding and seating.
