I've been on the LAS-FAT and LAS-PSP EMB flights with OO a few times on space available tickets when trying to get out of LAS and everything else is full, full, full, it's a kind of secret - if circuitous - routing outta town

No local subsidy either. Any local subsidy would have to offered to all airlines not just an EMB operator.
Those FAT-LAS flights are SkyWest at-risk but obviously do well since they continue. They also compete against Allegiant's flights to LAS. But the FAT-LAS flight on UAX has saved my trips a couple of times when I had problems getting home.
