My last 2 Citi cards have been approved for only a 1K credit line, because the others exceed 75K cl total. I was told that after the 75K point, you will not get auto approved. Both those cards were the Signature visas, too, which usually require a 5K credit limit. Bonus points were unaffected.
Even with the new card I have under 30k total credit lines with Citi. I did close a 20k Biz line a few months ago that may not be freed up yet though.

Exactly the same for me, so there's still hope I'll be able to head to Office Max and hope they still have $200 cards left.
