Were you happy with the award booking procedure (e.g. online/by phone)?

Since my miles are with SQ and I was redeeming on LH, I called the SQ Service Centre on the UK number provided (I live in the UK). Service centre open 24 hours a day although I assume I was put through to one of their non-UK service centres as I called around 0030 GMT...very easy, efficient procedure although I checked availability using the ANA Star Alliance award search engine (accurate it would seem...)

How often did you have to check/call until you got the seats?

Once as I checked availability online before calling. Incidentally my final destination is LAX but LH is very unlikely to release award seats to partners based on the current availability in the F cabin for my desired dates. MUC-LAX was available in F but I'm aiming for the 747-8 from a 'plane geek' perspective...ORD F is also a no-go for the same dates, so IAD is the only option for me.

Very excited to fly LH as I always usually fly BA...time for a change, even if the ticket is 'free'....^
