Is There an Expiry on the Regus Gold Card?

So, last year on my birthday (January 2013) LH sent me a little 'happy birthday' ecard with a link to applying for a complimentary Regus Business world gold card, which gives unlimited entry into their business lounges around the world. Seemed incredible value at the time, although since then it is no longer quite a surprise given that other companies also issue complimentary Regus gold cards.

Never actually visited the lounge until sometime in March last year, but would pop in once every couple of weeks, mostly to use the wifi and have a quiet spot to do some work.

Somewhere I have a feeling that I may have seen something about there being an expiry date after 12 months of issue. But then, I could be wrong? I asked late last year if the lady at the desk could tell me the expiry date, and she came back - most surprised and rather confused - with "the system shows 2075".

But just read this article today: Regus tightening up on free businessworld gold cards.

The author seems to think that LH has stopped handing these things out. Which may well be the case now. But I'm still curious - does anyone know if there actually is an expiry date? Did anyone else with a poorly status of zilch with LH ever get a similar ecard for their birthday? Neat little idea nonetheless. And I do like LH for short haul anyway, to be honest.

By the way, there's a sign in the business lounge I'm currently in now about additional services. Seems they now charge $7 per hour in Australia for internet, not to mention $5.50 per person for coffee and tea and biscuits. Those were the two things they used to offer for free. But then, at the same time, I'm not complaining.
