With amex travel you can't book Canadian charter flights to Cuba.
Alternatively if anyone can point me to a thread discussing this somewhere I'd appreciate it. I still have about $600 on my Capital One Aspire so I need to figure out how to use that as well! I'm pretty sure they have some weird restrictions.
I have the Cap One and while you get your best bang for the buck with $650 or more spend its extremely worthwhile. I wanted 6 nights in Paris last September at the hotel of my choice. I didn't have quite enough in my reward bank prior to the trip but you have 90 days after the charge is posted to redeem. By the end of this period, I had more than enough to pay for the hotel. Asked for the amount to be "erased" and within 2-3 days it was done. Much better than the BMO IMHO. I can use my TA or book online myself without restrictions. Plus getting $100 worth of credit (if using $650 or more at a time) on your anniversary date almost pays for the annual fee. This is my go to card where AMEX is not accepted.
