Like I said above, you would have had a nasty surprise if you purchased a 016 full fare Y ticket on ANA, which is obviously a PE fare class. If it's a codeshare then you will be seated in economy; that's how it worked with SAS.

Given the higher level of cooperation with LH, it will be interesting to see how it plays out. ANA revenue share with UA as well, but I am pretty sure that if you buy a full Y ticket on ANA with UA then you wind up in economy.

It's ridiculous given the revenue sharing in these markets.
