some people think honesty is called for. I don't see why anyone would tell AP until all miles are gone, but hey...to each their own. A small $2000 donation to Aeroplan I am sure will benefit another poor widow's RSP holdings (if it affects the AMIA share price).
but seriously, I think people are just confused, call AP, and are told this stuff. By then you'll have an officious cow on the other end of the line who will flag the account instead of allowing you to quietly hang up and do your thing.
