Yes. From your Aeroplan account (as in not one of the 2:1 deals where the primary cardholder has to be on the flight - unless you will be). On the website you will have seen where you put the passenger's name and contact info - and then there will be a section where a separate e-mail will be sent to you confirming the points.

And, yes, you will have to agree the T & C and provide credit card info to pay for the fees and taxes.

I am an authorized user on my husband's account - so I can do it on-line or via phone.
