Since I'll only be there for 24 hours (arriving ATH-MXP on the 5th at 10am), I decided to stay in the city -- I booked the Adi Doria Grand Hotel via Rocketmiles for $117/night ($128 a/i), but there are probably better options.

The Sheraton MXP is actually going for $119 for April 5th with the SPG Best Escapes promo (book by Saturday): http://www.spghotescapes.com/search/milan

I stayed at the Hotel Ibis MXP last year which was cheap(ish) and convenient as well.
