My first ever regional hop from Hong Kong to Singapore in Y on Cathay. Couple next to me were spitting on the floor throughout the flight and spat their food up too. The most vile experience i've ever had on a plane. Flight was full and cabin crew said it's quite normal.

Have experienced spitting since, but not to that degree.
