From what the agent told you, you are on the 777 with old F and C, which is being sold as a 2-class plane, as several people have mentioned already.
The old F seat is 180 degree lie-flat, while the old C seat is angled-flat.
Since they are not selling F seats on this flight, they are giving the F seats to some people in C, although I never understood why they allow people on award tickets in these seats instead of making them exclusive to revenue pax.
