SFO-NYC/MIA and either over night stop or long layover (avios)

I also have UA miles but would rather use AA/BA.

you want to go SFO/LAX-->POS and you want flat bed seats the whole way?
noone can do that, not AA, not DL, and certainly not UA
the most direct routing is via IAH, and though i have never flown it, UA does actually have some semblance of a good reputation for the IAH-POS route.
if you are talking about the best award route/availability on AA with Avios, you're in the wrong forum.
