There was one a few weeks ago with deadpan humor that did make me laugh, though. He was trying to inform people to remain seated (we were parked just short of the gate), with something like, "... as never in recorded history has a passenger on a plane reached the gate before the plane."
That sort of humor is fine and it might get people to pay attention, just like some airlines try to make their safety videos humorous or different. If it fits the FA's style, I don't object to something relevant but funny added to announcements.
However, I object very much to being used as a free test audience by FAs who are practicing for a different career instead of performing their current job in an appropriate way.
