I do not consider Aman a chain. At the other end of the spectrum, I don't believe Mulia is a chain property.

BTW, I am shocked to see that Mulia is a member of LHW. This confirms that LHW will take just about any property these days...
Have they really ever been the authority on travel? They only have one Hong Kong hotel as far as I remember, and it's the Hullett House...!

What's their policy on admitting new hotels?
