why is it everytime there is an aborted landing the first thing that pops into peoples heads is a missed approach? Thats almost never the case with a commercial jet. The fact that you said the weather wasnt that great is a key piece of a puzzle. I havent but I know some one that was on a flight that aborted twice in ANC before diverting to FAI due to weather. Ive had 2 aborted landings in FAI, one for a moose and one for a bush pilot that decided togo puttering out onto the runway when we were on final
