Q: Can I present the Travelocity card to Hilton, buy a $790 hotel total for 2 nights, and redeem 20,000 points for $400? I booked it directly through Hilton to get a 50% special event promo code applied? Or does the hotel have to be both booked on Travelocity.com and paid for for the Travelocity card?
That won't work. It has to meet both criteria - you must use the Travelocity card and book the hotel on Travelocity.com. The new redemption method is performed by actually logging into your Travelocity credit card account on the barclay website. They show eligible Travelocity.com purchases over the past 90 days as the only ones where you can redeem for the 20,000 points for $400.
