Yes, really. There are cheaper ways to buy miles (see award accelerator) and unless your fiancee's miles are orphan (never to be used again), you are losing 13K miles (which you didn't factor in).

Alternatively, book it now and reserve -UA gives you three days to do the transfer/purchase, and keep looking for other options. Not worth paying for GF if you can get alternatives for BF.
