Aer Lingus runs a bus to the Flight Connections Centre only. You could then join another bus to T5 and exit through the UK border. But it's liable to be slower between all the time spent waiting for buses and queuing for passport control (which you wouldn't have to clear at T1).

Mark me down as another vote for the landside route.
