Question UK-based International Sysadmin Contracting Advice

I'm thinking about getting into contracting at some point in the near-future, as I'm young (26 - double-edged sword if you equate youth with inexperience), have relatively few ties (no wife or kids) so I'm flexible on working location to an extent, I'd like to travel and see places (granted, you don't really get time to sight-see on business but hey).

I've been in IT industry since October 2010 and progressed (relatively quickly I'm told) from desktop support through production support to full systems administration - I've had 4 jobs in that time (6 months; 18 months; 5 months; 12 months and counting) but I've left each time for career progression reasons, and have always left on good terms (I was actually poached by my current boss after he worked with me at a previous company).

My main skills are the LAMP stack, Bash scripting and Puppet (including writing my own module for VMware Tools on GitHub). I've also been exposed to a variety of environments: heavily change-controlled and continuous delivery, agile and non-agile, team and self-generated work, financial services and eCommerce, Java and PHP, so despite my age, I have a relatively large amount of experience.

Given all of the above, how much opportunity is there for international sysadmin contractors and what kind of experience is necessary? Any help/opinions would be appreciated - I've done some research into general contracting (IR35 is a brain-ache!) but anything specific to international contracting would be a huge help!
