You can check seatguru.com and enter the date and flight number, they will tell you what aircraft is scheduled. Of course this is subject to change.
I guess I was hoping for something a bit less manual, but it seems like that's the way to do it.
Step 1: Find all airlines flying that route.
Step 2: Get the flight number for each of those airlines' flights on the days I want to fly
Step 3: Look up the aircraft for each of those flight numbers
Step 4: Research each of those aircraft
Step 5: Hope that they don't change between the time I book and the flight date (or that all their long-range planes have much the same facilities)
Of course, code shares will come into it too... Have to find out the actual operator of each flight in Step 1.
