Hertz claiming damage and delaying answer
I traveled last week from the UK to Berlin and then to Munich. The car I picked up from Hertz on my Institute of Directors' Gold Plus card had about 8 scratches marked on the overview sheet and as I found out while driving, a bad rear bearing. I only drove myself with the car being parked only in the hotel car park. When dropping it off, I complained about the bearing. Anyway on my return to the UK I received an invoice with an extra 888 Euros for undefined damages. I rang and asked for the reasons and was promised an answer. When I rang a week later I was told that the assessment would take 6-8 weeks!! I find that outrageous, especially since Hertz have taken my money already. I asked if I could take the complaint further and was told that there is no complaints procedure. I am quite outraged!
