The rear gate was carbon fiber, it had a rip in it from being compressed (but was popped back into place) , there was a scuff the length of the rear gate (and also a scuff across one wheel well, must have been second incident, unless the SUV fished out and there was a second impact point) , also a taillight had cracks

Once getting some highway speed miles, there was a burning rubber smell, but no noise - maybe it was out of alignment and tires were taking a beating, maybe the parking break was rubbing ... on return, I suggested the parking brake might have been sticking a bit
