Best hotel in Miami with kids (8 and 6) that won't cost me an arm and a leg?
We are heading to Miami for two nights (April 19, 20) with two kids aged 6 and 8. My dates aren't flexible.

I have been looking around and most people have said that Loews and Ritz Carlton are the best hotels on Miami Beach for kids. The problem is that I didn't book well enough in advance and the room are looking like $650/night. If I would have booked a few months earlier maybe I could have avoided that.

Anyone have any other ideas? I am Hilton Gold, but status really doesn't matter to me much because I feel most of the time it's worthless. Free water and a chance for an upgrade doesn't exactly entice me to stay at Hilton properties. I also don't mind properties like Holiday Inn (IHG) if they are GOOD.

Ideas?
