We had a great stay at the end of December. They knocked it out of the park with hitting all the items on my preference list and then some. They have their work cut put for them next time.
We did get a slight room upgrade, a higher floor was all. I had been hoping for something a bit grander but not a big deal.
We are heading back in May and still have my fingers crossed for that elusive corner suite! Our son is getting married and all of the guests will be staying at Kimpton so it should be fun!

I know that they save their larger rooms for special guests so you may want to email InnerCircle and ask if they can provide you and your son/daughter-in law (soon to be) with larger rooms. I had an upgrade and it wasn't very big at all except for the shower. I am not sure they have grand suites like Alexis or Monaco do. I was in a corner room. I would also definitely suggest you contact the management team at the Palomar in advance to let them know that there will be group because honestly, the Lustre Bar was REALLY poor all three days I was there. Even when I called downstairs because the bar was closed and four of us at the pool wanted a drink nobody ever came to tae orders. Just being proactive helps.
