Can't help with the question as such, however you can get over to the East End using the tube with very little walking: at T5 the lift goes down to the tube entrance, very short walk to the train. At Barons Court you just cross the platform for the District line. Then take that to somewhere like Mile End (where getting a taxi will be cheap and easy). Probably faster too.

I second the Carrot Cars recommendation. Always on time (usually early), polite, clean cars and reasonable priced.
