Interesting, I had to drive to airport to pay yesterday for copay on International Flight that cleared as telephone operator was unable to process my UK card. When I got to airport, took quite some time as there were some mistakes in the calculations. But patience paid off and the charming ticket desk staff sorted it out. But I always worry when IT people are allowed to "upgrade" things. Normally means trouble.
