I have a flight booked from London to San Diego which has an hour layover in Washington Dulles IAD.

It was originally supposed to be around an 1 hour and 20 minutes, however I received an email stating my flight has changed and that it'll only be an 1 hour and 5 minutes.

From my previous experience of transferring from an international flight to an internal one, I've had to go through security, collect my bag and drop it off again.

Is this the procedure at IAD, as if it is, I'm concerned that this short layover will not be long enough?
