Every time I have done this, they have shown up either during the call or within 30 minutes. I suspect you were unlucky doing it at a time when things were crazy. I would call them again and explain your concerns. Maybe wait for later in the day like 9 or 10 pm EST when most east coast folk will be done for the day.
