StR certainly wouldnt be my choice. I found it completely soul-less. It is just like a nice, big chain hotel anywhere. There is nothing particularly Balinese about it. Is it well done for what it is? You bet. But what it is is a cold copy of all other resort StR resort properties. We used it is a place to crash after the long flights to get there (on points, for free) and I wouldnt bother with that again--I would gladly take one of the other properties mentioned recently upthread.
