Benefits like access to the Club for breakfast/drinks are important to me as the cost of breakfast for two in Tokyo may be about the same cost (over the duration of the trip) as finishing the challenge.
I'm with you ... coming up on 12 nights myself, with a week to go ....

I plan on staying 15 nights to hit the challenge, and to get a good points break on the Endless Possibilities promotion currently going. Will these stays count towards earning Diamond status beyond Feb 2105? I ask because I may want to break the 15 days into smaller stays to count towards the 25 stays required by Hyatt for Diamond.

Thoughts?
... but this about gave me a heart attack. You mean you are doing 12 for the Challenge and, as long as you have done that much, another 3 to hit 15 on Endless Possibilities and to score an additional 15,000 points (third set of 5)?

Makes sense to do this ... I'm going to try to do all 20 seeing as I am committed for 12 already. But your timing is interesting. If you start 2 March, then your time frame is the same since you are 60 days from the 30 April end of the Endless Possibilities (my 20th night if all goes well!) Any later, and, yeah, the desire to hit 15 under Endless Possibilities gives you a way compressed time frame. Unless you have a Hyatt House and a Hyatt Place right next to each other that are cheap (like RDU), doing both and maximizing stays for re-qualification is going to be tough. I write all this as someone who has been thinking a lot the last 50 days of the best way to hit this trifecta as well! My unsolicited advice: If you can do more one-night stays, even at the cost of the additional 15,000 points, you may get a better payoff assuming you can do another dozen or so the last 8 months of the year. Don't forget the Chase Hyatt Visa spend (since you will be in Hyatt's a lot!) for at least 2 additional stay credits (and points).
